That's Brisk Baby!

Back in early December, I got a call from my friend Fon Davis asking if I was available to do some model building work for his company, Fonco Creative. It was a fast and furious gig building miniature sets and props for a couple of stop-motion commercial spots that were to air in January. I was available, so I took the job; and despite the fast pace, it was a fun time. I got to work with a lot of old cohorts, a lot of whom I hadn't seen in a month of Sundays. Also, the commercial spots were pretty fun. They're another round of the Lipton Brisk Ice Tea stop-motion commercials, but this time featuring the likes of Danny Trejo as Machete (of course) and the always lovable Ozzy Osbourne.

I'm a sucker for stop-motion, so this was a nice treat for me. Plus, I have to admit that it was especially fun working in a shop and getting my hands (and everything else) dirty again.

Animator Film Credit

OK, it's official! Just last year, I received my first animator credit for my work on the feature film Cats and Dogs 2, The Revenge of Kitty Galore. It's really a great feeling. I've worked on several films, but never as an animator, and since animation is the reason that I started working in this industry, it's really a wonderful milestone for me. I really have to thank the animation department at Tippett Studio for bringing me on and offering such amazing support and direction. Also, I'm really happy to say that this was a great project to be a part of and a wonderful group of people to have worked with. Thanks again you guys!

Cheers,
~Tony.

P.S. Please find the obligatory "I just worked on my first film as an animator, so here's the trailer" trailer posted below. :P

WELCOME

Hey there, I've just updated this blog so that it's (hopefully) a lot more user-friendly. I've put my animation reel on it's own page (see the blue menu tabs listed just below my blogs title), so it won't get buried below any subsequent blog postings. With this new structure in place, I'm free to keep adding more work related (and some non-work related) postings. Thanks for stopping in!

Cheers,
~Tony.
